July 20, 2025 - The Sixth Sunday after Pentecost
Today’s sermon begins with a light-hearted callback to a 1988 Rice Krispies Treats commercial that weaves into a reflection on the hospitality shown in complimentary ways between sisters Martha and Mary. The call to welcome Christ into our home is echoed in our moral call to love our undocumented migrant worker (and indeed all people of color and Spanish-speaking immigrants and their descendants) who suffer today at the hands of our own government officials.
